P&R Morson Awarded Coventry University Engineering and Computing Building

P&R MORSON ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THEY WILL BE COMPLETING THE MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL SERVICES INSTALLATION AT THE NEW ENGINEERING AND COMPUTING BUILDING AT COVENTRY UNIVERSITY – P&R MORSON’S FIRST PROJECT FOR MAIN CONTRACTOR SPELLER METCALFE.

The new four-storey 5300sq.m building with an M&E value of £3.7m will provide a variety of learning spaces including a specialist area for 3D printing and rapid prototyping, a laser facility and physics and electronics laboratories as well as a gaming and virtual reality studio, all designed around a full height central atrium configured to promote student and staff collaboration.

 

P&R Morson will be carrying out the design, supply and installation of the mechanical and electrical and public health services. This includes the LTHW and chilled water systems, ventilation and domestic water services, above ground drainage, LV distribution, lighting, small power, fire and security services along with a Building Management System.

Work will be commencing this summer with P&R Morson due to start on site in February 2019. Project completion is scheduled for January 2020.
