King Edward VI Sheldon Health Academy (KESH) is a high school for students aged 11-18 in East Birmingham and P&R Morson was part of the delivery team tasked with construction of the school’s new £26 million building.
The new school estate combines a three-storey teaching block with a three-storey sports block to cater for a population of 1,300 students and provide sports facilities for use by both students and the local community.
P&R Morson was responsible for design development of the building services and installation of all mechanical and electrical services, including power, data, lighting, fire alarms and security systems, along with heating, ventilation and domestic hot water.
The scheme was one of three Lendlease Birmingham BSF Framework projects on which P&R Morson delivered the building services package and the company has since won a number of other projects with Lendlease, including High Wycombe Law Courts and The University of Leicester’s Engineering Building.
