P&R Morson Win Cambridge Job With A Local Connection

P&R Morson have been successful in securing the Mechanical and Electrical services design and build package for the Maurice Wilkes Building in Cambridge. This £3.6 million package is P&R Morson’s second scheme with Main Contractor Vinci Construction.

This prestigious 6,000 sq mt commercial building is located at St Johns Innovation Park and is named after Sir Maurice Wilkes, one of Cambridge University’s most eminent computer scientists. Sir Maurice Wilkes was born in Dudley and educated in Stourbridge, both just a stone’s throw from P&R Morson’s Head Office.

P&R Morson’s 9-month programme includes the complete design and installation of all Mechanical and Electrical services within the building whilst giving special consideration to existing clients in neighbouring buildings on the Innovation Park with regards to noise and traffic movements, which will have to be managed carefully.

Whilst this is P&R Morson’s second scheme for Vinci Construction, we are already assisting them on further projects and are confident of building on the current positive working relationship and securing further works moving forward.
